A community hero is someone who makes a difference through acts of service. They don’t always wear a cape or uniform, but they always make an impact in their community. They’re people like your neighbor who shovels sidewalks for the entire block, or a volunteer who dedicates their time to local shelters and food pantries. They’re also teachers, mentors and coaches that go above and beyond for their students.
A Community Hero is also someone who inspires others to perform heroic acts. They’re people like the teacher that volunteers at your Little League(r) program, or the firefighter that drives the firetruck in your Opening Ceremonies. They’re also people like Malala Yousafzai who inspired a global movement for girls’ education.
Lastly, a community hero is someone who gives hope in times of adversity. They’re people like the first responders who rush to the scene of natural disasters, or the people who build homes for those in need. They’re also the people who fight for social justice and work to protect the environment. These are the real heroes who deserve recognition for their selfless acts.
